Final training session

Final training session - Pachuca_Estadio_P.jpg

The team got their first look at Pachuca's home this evening - Estadio Hidalgo. It's quite the building, with a capacity of approximately 33,000 and not a bad seat in the house. The closest seats are within five yards of the field, though the 15-foot high chain link fence - topped with barb wire - discourages fans from entering the field of play (we hope). It will be interesting to see what the atmosphere is like tomorrow  - especially after hearing numerous stories about the various things that get thrown at the opposing team during the game.

Tonight, Head Coach Tom Soehn ran the players through about 60 minutes of training - a long warm-up, possession work and finishing. Following training the team had dinner together and then watched some video on Pachuca.

Not familiar with Estadio Hidalgo? I added a handful of photos of the stadium from tonight's training session, so check out Video & Pics. All kinds of angles and perspectives, including a shot of the locker room that we'll use tomorrow night.
