VW Keys to the Match: D.C. United at Chicago Fire

Chris Pontius vs Chicago Fire

D.C. United ships off to Chicago this weekend, as the team is set to meet the Chicago Fire at Toyota Park on Sunday at 5:00 p.m. ET (Watch: Comcast SportsNet and UniMas). Below are your VW Keys to the Match.

Spoil Magee's MLS debut

Sunday will mark Mike Magee's first MLS match for the Fire, after joining the team last week. The midfielder started for the Fire in their Thursday night Open Cup match in which he scored a goal and notched an assist. His apparent smooth transition must be stifled by the Black-and-Red.

Find the net

United is still searching for their stride when it comes to finding the back of the net. The team has hit 130 shots over the course of its campaign, but has only netted six of those. Chicago has allowed 17 goals this season, there is room for a few more on Sunday.

Prey on the Fire

There are 42 player connections between D.C. United and the Chicago Fire. The sides are well versed on each other's rosters. United should seek opportunities to strike at its opponent's weaknesses.
