Who can access the free live stream?

Anyone in the Washington D.C. Metropolitan DMA can access the live stream if you’re within the geofenced region. To see if your zip code is included, check online. For mobile users, you must have your phone’s location services turned on and allow the streaming software to verify your location information.

Is the live stream free?

The online stream at dcunited.com is free for fans in the Washington D.C. Metropolitan Area DMA. Fans that qualify for the free stream can check online with your zip code. Fans that are outside the streaming area will be able to watch the matches with a paid subscription to ESPN+.

What's the best way to access the stream?

For the best viewing experience, please access the stream on your personal WiFi network. You may also access the stream using cellular data. However, if your phone pings a cellular tower outside of the Washington D.C. Metropolitan Area streaming area, you may be blocked from viewing the stream. To check the streaming area, enter your zip code.

When will the live stream coverage start?

Streaming on dcunited.com will begin when the broadcast begins on WJLA 24/7 News. For example if a match is advertised for 7:30 PM ET, the stream will begin at 7 PM ET. The coverage will include the pre- and post-game shows with Dave Johnson, Devon McTavish, Claudia Pagán, and Moisés Linares.

Will the live stream be similar to television broadcasts?

The stream online will include all the broadcast coverage of the match. During television broadcast commercial breaks, the live stream will display a “Coverage will resume shortly” message until play resumes.

Are all D.C. United matches being streamed this season?

All non-national broadcast matches will be streamed on dcunited.com if you're in the coverage zone and ESPN+ if you fall out of the coverage zone. You can see the full list of matches here. You will be able to watch on the national broadcaster’s channel or app if you subscribe to their network.

Can I stream matches to your TV?

Yes but you will need to navigate through an internet browser to dcunited.com to stream matches on your devices.

What are the channel numbers for NBCSWA and TeleXitos?

For information on how to find NBC Sports Washington and NBC Sports Washington Plus, please see here. In the Washington, D.C., region, TeleXitos can be found on over-the-air television (Ch. 44.2) and on Comcast Xfinity (Ch. 281), Cox (Ch. 808) and Verizon Fios (Ch. 493).

Will there be a stream in Spanish on dcunited.com?

No, the Spanish coverage will be live on TeleXitos. TeleXitos can be found on over-the-air television (Ch. 44.2) and on Comcast Xfinity (Ch. 281), Cox (Ch. 808) and Verizon Fios (Ch. 493).

Can I watch Nationally broadcasted matches on dcunited.com?

Nationally televised matches will not be available for streaming on dcunited.com due to television rights. To view these matches you will need to watch on the national network channel.

Can I watch matches on my phone?

Yes, you can stream matches live on dcunited.com and through the NBC Sports App if you are a subscriber to NBC Sports Washington.

Will all matches be televised?

Currently, all D.C. United regular season MLS matches will be available in both English and Spanish on NBCSWA or NBCSWA+ in English and TeleXitos in Spanish.
