Recent Matches

The Colorado Rapids have played six matches in 2019 and are still looking for their first win. They are currently 0-2-4, with both of their draws coming from home matches. While they are still searching for that first win, they have managed to score in almost every game-- their only shutout came from their Week Two match against the Seattle Sounders.

Players To Watch

Kei Kamara leads the Rapids in goals with three so far this season. Kamara has been in MLS since his first season with the Columbus Crew in 2006. He is one of only 10 players to score over 100 goals in MLS and has made over 300 appearances. He will be a player to keep your eye on.

Aside from Kamara, the Rapids have a variety of offensive weapons. The remaining six goals from the club this season have been scored by six different players. Kellyn Acosta leads the team with two assists, although he has yet to find the back of the net himself.

On the defensive side, the Rapids have not earned a shutout in 2019. Their goalkeeper is Tim Howard, who has also had a storied career across MLS and the English Premier League. He has made 27 saves so far this season, but on average has allowed 2.7 goals per game.

Head-to-Head

When these two teams met last season at Audi Field, the Black-and-Red walked away with a 2-1 victory. Wayne Rooney scored the first goal for D.C. United and Kellyn Acosta scored the lone goal for the Rapids. In the end, a 90th-minute own goal from Niki Jackson gave D.C. United the win.
