- United midfielder Paul Arriola made his first start for United since returning from the U.S. Men's National Team; Arriola started in the USMNT's match against Brazil on Sept. 7 at MetLife Stadium.
- Forward Darren Mattocks returned to the Black-and-Red following international duty with Jamaica; he scored a brace in Jamaica's 4-0 win over the Cayman Islands on Sept. 9.
- Mattocks scored his 10th goal of the season in the 69th minute. Mattocks is United's first double-digit goalscorer since 2015 when Chris Rolfe scored 10.
