United hire Chris Hull as Senior Advisor for Player Communications

D.C. United have announced that Chris Hull will join the club as Senior Advisor for Player Communications.
“We want to welcome Chris to D.C. United and we’re excited to utilize his extensive understanding of the sports and business landscapes as we continue our unprecedented growth at the club,” Jason Levien, United General Managing Partner and CEO, said. "Chris has decades of high level experience working in the top tier of soccer. He will be an invaluable acquisition as the club continues its upward trajectory."
Hull is highly skilled and essential to the performance of international athletes like Wayne Rooney: he has spent 25 years in the sports, communications and broadcasting industries, having been the Head of Communications at The Football League in England until 1999 and the head of Nationwide's football and sponsorship operation until the start of 2011. Hull then led his own consultancy firm that served brands, sports bodies, professionals, sports clubs, the political industry and broadcasters.   As the head of Nationwide's sponsorship division, he has negotiated and activated multi-million dollar partnerships for the England National Soccer Team and other major properties.  Chris advised brands, governing bodies and stakeholders on sports business and communication. With D.C. United, Hull will his experience and knowledge to support international players with the communications aspect of their role.
