Head coach Ben Olsen
On the team’s style of play…

“We’re evolving. In the past, we've absorbed pressure and were a counter-attacking team, but recently with this group you see more of a commitment to connect passes and press a little bit higher up the field. We’re still a work in progress and have a lot of new guys. At the start of this season we essentially had a brand new starting lineup. We’re still just nine or ten games into the season with a long way to go, but we’re a good young team and we’re showing our ability to get results in difficult venues… this is not an easy building to come to and get points. These aren’t easy trips, but over the last couple of weeks I think we’ve grown as a group.”

On opening Audi Field…
"We’re very excited. We’ve been waiting for our own stadium for a decade. Los Angeles got this team [LAFC] and built this beautiful stadium so quickly but we’ve been fighting for one for 10 years. It’s a special and transformative time for our club and it will move us forward to a different level on the business and playing side. Moving into Audi Field is the first domino to go, and we’re all very excited about opening day on July 14."

Goalkeeper David Ousted
On the match...

“I thought we could’ve gotten the three points, but all in all, coming into a tough place like LA here, we’re happy with a point, and happy with four total points on the road trip. It was a weird one with all the video review today, back and forth, and I think the league has to look at that to make it a little clearer to everybody what’s going on. We got a point out of it and I thought we played well for large periods of the game, and with a little more luck, we might have stolen three points here.”

On the takeaways...
“With our defensive shape, we need to make sure we lock up. I thought we’ve been good, I thought we were good today, and I thought we were especially good in San Jose. The most important thing is getting those points. Shutouts will come, I’m not worried about that. The most important thing is the points and we’ve got four so far on this road trip.”

Midfielder Zoltán Stieber
On the result...
“First of all, four points in two games is quite good for us. With the red card, maybe we could’ve won the game. All together, we are happy to take the four points in two away games on the road.”

On the takeaways...
“I think the chemistry is there, every game it’s getting better, so we have some good stuff going on the pitch and hopefully it can continue.”
