Coming off of their first road victory of the season, a 3-1 win over the San Jose Earthquakes at Avaya Stadium in Week 12, the Black-and-Red prepare to face league newcomers LAFC for the first time this Saturday, May 26 at 9:30 PM ET. The fixture will also mark United's first-ever game in Banc of California Stadium, which LAFC officially christened against the Seattle Sounders on April 29. With Audi Field opening in July, the Black-and-Red's new home and LAFC's first-ever home represent MLS' two soccer-specific stadium additions for 2018. 


United defeated the Earthquakes then spent the week training at UCLA and preparing for their next Californian opponent. While LAFC are off to one of the best starts in expansion team history (6-3-2), Bob Bradley's side fell to the Portland Timbers 2-1 in their last match, and were defeated at the hands of the LA Galaxy (4-3) and Atlanta United (5-0) earlier in the season. Since opening their new digs, LAFC are 2-0-2 are home, and the Black-and-Red will be chomping at the opportunity to hand the newcomers their first-ever loss at Banc of California.
