Defender Chandler Vaughn has been a consistent figure in the Under-19 D.C. United academy team this season. The Woodbridge, VA native has played in 10 of United's first 13 matches this season and scored one goal. Vaughn was selected for the second consecutive season after making the All-America team last year.
Goalkeeper Quantrell Jones earned a selection for the first time after playing in the U-19 United academy's last 10 games. The D.C. native has posted two clean sheets this season with his most recent coming in the 1-0 win over the Lonestar SC Academy on Nov. 30 at the 2017 U.S. Soccer Development Academy Boys' Winter Showcase.
The duo are among a total of 99 players (49 boys, 50 girls) honored as United Soccer Coaches Youth All-Americans. These players, along with their families and coaches, will be formally acknowledged for their accomplishments at the United Soccer Coaches All-America Luncheon on January 20, 2018 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in conjunction with the 2018 United Soccer Coaches Convention in Philadelphia.
