United defeated the San Jose Earthquakes 4-0 at RFK on Saturday, Sept. 23, the team's second-to-last match at the venue. Forward Patrick Mullins scored four goals, all in the second half, to lead the Black-and-Red to victory. Mullins became the first player in league history to score four goals in a half, recorded the second-fastest hat trick in team history (10 minutes, 40 seconds), and is only the 11th player in MLS to score four goals in a match.
