Lloyd Sam's assist named best of the week | Week 8

Now in his sixth season in Major League Soccer, Lloyd Sam is known around the league as a proven chance creator and excellent distributor in the final third.  In United's 2-2 draw against the New England Revolution, the Ghanaian was at his best again, playing a perfectly-weighted through ball behind the Revs' defense and hitting Sébastien Le Toux in stride.  The Frenchman, who made his 200th career MLS start, chipped the ball over Cody Cropper for the Black-and-Red's second goal of the match.

Some great helpers this week.

The assist was Lloyd's 30th career regular season MLS assist, good for 19th among active players.
