DC SCORES has been recognized by the Council of the District of Columbia for their outstanding work in the community.  On Tuesday, the organization received the “DC SCORES Recognition Resolution of 2016.”  Councilmember Brandon Todd of Ward 4 introduced the resolution, which highlights the extraordinary service provided to the students in Ward 4 schools.

DC SCORES is celebrating its 20th year and are currently running the only public soccer leagues for both elementary and middle school children in the District.  Not only does DC SCORES emphasize staying active through soccer but combines art and service learning, particularly through their annual Poetry Slam.  D.C. United is a proud charitable partner of DC SCORES which serves over 2,000 youth throughout the District.
