D.C. United Helps Fight Childhood Cancer with St. Baldrick's Foundation

On Sunday, March 15, D.C. United teamed up with Boundary Stone Public House and the St. Baldrick’s Foundation to participate in the Third Annual Head Shaving Event to help raise money for childhood cancer research. Many supporters gathered at Boundary Stone Public House to have their heads shaved as a sign of support for St. Baldrick's and youth affected by the disease.
D.C. United’s Perry Kitchen, Ben Olsen,
Kofi Opare
, and Bobby Boswell had their head’s shaved and helped gather donations from the large crowd of onlookers inside Boundary Stone. DCU defender, Sean Franklin showed support by taking over the clippers as a guest barber along with Ben Olsen.  Conor Doyle manned the beer tap as a guest bartender and encouraged guests to donate.

With a goal of assisting Boundary Stone Public House raise $15,000 in cancer research funds, the event wildly surpassed expectations and raised a total of $35,000.  Thanks to all the D.C. United fans that came out and showed support.
