Silva’s overall streak of five games (including his last game for Toronto FC on 7/3 when he notched an assist) is the longest active streak in the League, and he sits just one behind Mike Magee (Chicago Fire) and Alvaro Saborio (Real Salt Lake) for the longest run of games with either a goal or assist this season.
Silva To Face Old Team
D.C. United midfielder Luis Silva joined the Black-and-Red on 7/9 from Toronto FC, traded to the club in exchange for allocation money. That move came just three-and-a-half weeks after Silva played for Toronto FC against United at RFK Stadium on 6/15. The midfielder started and went 87 minutes as the away side won 2-1.
