Monday Training Notes

On a muggy Monday morning, D.C. United trained at Longbridge Park in Arlington, Va., for its first training session since tying New England 0-0 at Gillette Stadium. Head Coach Ben Olsen said he “was proud of [his] group” after the match, and the Black-and-Red knows each and every player needs to keep battling to turn the season around.

After a good warm up, the squad broke into two groups for 5v2, and then played to small goals. Finishing the training session off strong, United scrimmaged in a tight space to big goals, scoring lots of good goals. Those who logged big minutes against the Revolution remained at the stadium for regeneration.

Welcome to the Family!

Today was Alain Rochat’s first training session with D.C. United. The Canadian-born defender/midfielder made it safely to the nation’s capital last night. The talented player has played in Canada, France, Switzerland and now D.C. With a resume like that, the DCU family has no doubt he will add experience and talent to the roster.
