& Milos Kocic
D.C. United selected Milos Kocic in the second round (21st overall) of the 2009 MLS SuperDraft. The goalkeeper made four league appearances for United (three starts). Kocic finished his rookie season with nine saves in 308 minutes of action with a 1-2-1 record.
& Ryan Miller

D.C. United claimed Ryan Miller off waivers on 9/15/08, and he made three appearances for United in the 2008-09 CONCACAF Champions League. In two seasons with the Black-and-Red (2008 and 2009), Miller did not feature in an MLS match.


& Rodney Wallace
D.C. United selected Rodney Wallace as the 6th overall pick (just ahead of United’s Chris Pontius) in the 2009 MLS SuperDraft out of the University of Maryland. Wallace became one of the steadiest players in United’s 2009 squad, starting 25 of 28 appearances as a rookie in MLS. In 2010, Wallace started all 11 matches he featured in for United before sustaining an injury that kept him out the remainder of the season.

Will Johnson and Dwayne De Rosario are frequently called up to the Canada Men’s National Team for international competition. Johnson has been recalled by Canada multiple times, earning 33 caps for his country. The Timbers captain most recently appeared in friendlies against Japan (3/22) and Belarus (3/25) in Doha, Qatar. De Rosario first started playing for the CMNT in 1998. To date, De Rosario has made 73 appearances (60 starts) and tallied 20 goals for Canada, most recently appearing in a friendly against the U.S. Men’s National Team on 1/29.

Andrew Jean-Baptiste’s No.1-ranked Connecticut (UConn) Huskies met Nick DeLeon’s No.8-ranked Louisville Cardinals on 10/1/11, seeing Jean-Baptiste and the Huskies top the Cardinals 1-0 in an overtime victory. Will Johnson and Dejan Jakovic are frequently called up to the Canada Men’s National Team (CMNT) for international competition. Johnson has been called up to the CMNT multiple times, earning 33 caps for his country. Jakovic made his CMNT debut in 2008, and has since been called up 15 times; starting every game in which he made an appearance. Sal Zizzo’s UCLA Bruins met Chris Pontius’ UCSB Gauchos on three different occasions while the two were attending their respective universities. The first matchup on 10/20/05 saw Zizzo and the Bruins hand the Gauchos a 1-0 loss, with both players starting the game. The second matchup would come a year later on 10/5/06, seeing UCLA topple UCSB 3-1, a game in which Zizzo would assist twice. The third and final matchup would come on 12/3/06 – the 2006 College Cup final – in which Pontius and the Gauchos would go on to a 2-1 victory over UCLA and crowned the 2006 national champions.

Michael Harrington’s North Carolina (UNC) Tar Heels met James Riley’s No.9-ranked Wake Forest Demon Deacons on 10/31/04, seeing Riley and the Demon Deacons hand UNC a 2-0 loss. Both players started the game.

Ben Zemanski and James Riley (and United teammate Casey Townsend) both played together at Chivas USA in 2012. Zemanski played 22 games (18 starts) and added two assists for Chivas. Riley started and played in all 32 games he played in for Chivas, adding two assists as well.
