& Danny O’Rourke
Danny O’Rourke and Dwayne De Rosario played together on the San Jose Earthquakes during the 2005 season. O’Rourke’s rookie season saw him appear in 13 games (starting 12), while the seasoned De Rosario played 28 matches and started 26. The Earthquakes finished atop the Western Conference in 2005.
Nick DeLeon
& Chad Barson
A defender for the 2010 Akron Zips, Barson started against Nick DeLeon’s Louisville Cardinals in the 2010 NCAA College Cup Finals, beating Louisville 1-0. DeLeon’s United teammates Chris Korb and Perry Kitchen were also on the Akron squad.
& Ryan Finley
Finley and DeLeon met once while Finley played at Duke. Louisville and Duke played to a 0-0 tie on 10/3/10. Both DeLeon and Finely started. DeLeon had three shots and Finely took six throughout the game. The two met again while Finley was in a Notre Dame uniform and the Fighting Irish won the match 1-0. DeLeon started the match and Finley came on as a substitute in the 61st minute.
& Aaron Horton
DeLeon and Horton played together at the University of Louisville during the 2010 season. The two helped the Cardinals to reach the NCAA Men’s College Cup, eventually losing to Akron 1-0. DeLeon’s United teammates Chris Korb and Perry Kitchen were also on that Akron squad.

& Chad Barson
Perry Kitchen and Chad Barson, along with Kitchen’s United teammate, Chris Korb, played at Akron together for Kitchen’s lone year there (2010). The Zips won the 2010 NCAA College Cup with all three players on the squad.

Finlay’s Creighton University lost 1-0 to Kitchen’s (and Chris Korb’s) Akron on 10/27/10.
& Aaron Horton
Horton was a member of the 2010 Louisville team (along with Nick DeLeon) that Kitchen’s (and Korb’s) Akron Zips beat 1-0 in the 2010 NCAA Men’s College Cup Finals.
& Matt Lampson
Lampson and Ohio State tied Kitchen’s (and Korb’s) Zips 2-2 on 9/29/10. Lampson was the Buckeye’s starting goalkeeper and Kitchen started as well.
& Justin Meram
Meram scored the first goal in the first minute of the NCAA College Cup semifinals for Michigan against Kitchen (and Chris Korb’s) Akron Zips. Kitchen returned the favor by scoring the tying goal in the 32nd minute. The Zips would go on to win the game 2-1. Earlier in the season, Kitchen and the Zips hosted Meram and the Wolverines on 10/29/10, seeing Michigan receive a thrashing in a game that ended in a 7-1 victory for the Zips.
Chris Korb
& Chad Barson
Chris Korb and Chad Barson played at the University of Akron together for both the 2009 and 2010 seasons. The two defenders were part of the 2010 NCAA Men’s College Cup-winning Akron team, as was Korb’s United teammate Perry Kitchen.

Korb’s Akron reamed Justin Meram’s Michigan on 10/20/09. Korb had an assist and Meram had Michigan’s lone goal in the 5-1 finish. Almost exactly a year later, Meram and Korb met again on 10/19/10. Korb and the Zips beat the Wolverines 7-1. The two teams met later that year in the College Cup semifinals. Akron beat Meram’s Michigan 2-1, with Meram scoring the Wolverine’s lone goal.

& Tyson Wahl
Wahl and his 20th-ranked University of California (Cal) Golden Bears upset Pontius and his 4th-ranked University of California – Santa Barbara Gauchos 2-0 in Cal’s home opener in 2005.
Marcelo Saragosa
& Dominic Oduro
Saragosa and Oduro were teammates on FC Dallas from 2006-08. FC Dallas finished the season in 5th place in the Western Conference.
Joe Willis
& Drew Beckie
Beckie and Willis were teammates for two years at the University of Denver (2009-11). The two led their Pioneers to a conference semifinal in 2009 and the first round of the NCAA tournament in 2010.
& Ryan Finley
Finley and Willis met on 9/6/09 while Finley was playing at Duke. The Blue Devils beat Willis’s the University of Denver 2-0. Both Willis and Finely started, with Finley tallying an assist.
