In less than four weeks, D.C. United will open the doors of RFK when the Black-and-Red take on Real Salt Lake. First team news:

D.C. United victorious in first match of Disney Pro Soccer Classic - With two goals each from Lionard Pajoy and first round SuperDraft pick Taylor Kemp, the Black-and-Red beat the Rowdies 4-0.

Preseason roster set ahead of Disney - With a few newly signed players, and a handful of trialists in the wings, the Black-and-Red embark on their final preseason trip.

Team participates in media day - This past week, D.C. United players spent an entire afternoon doing video and photo shoots to be used for various media throughout the 2013 season.

Ben Olsen extends his contract - D.C. United announced that it has exercised its option to extend the contract of Head Coach Ben Olsen to run through the 2014 season.

United homegrown star Andy Najar transfered to RSC Anderlecht - Najar became Major League Soccer’s first homegrown player to permanently move to a European side.

D.C. United acquire Casey Townsend from Chivas USA - Former University of Maryland striker added in exchange for 2014 second round SuperDraft pick.

Syamsir Alam signs with D.C. United - Attacking 20 year-old will join the Black-and-Red from C.S. Visé of Belgium.

United sign John Thorrington - Midfielder joins the Black-and-Red from Vancouver Whitecaps FC.

Taylor Kemp selected in the MLS SuperDraft - D.C. United selects defender Taylor Kemp with 17th overall pick in 2013 MLS SuperDraft.

Homegrown forward Michael Seaton joins first team - Capitol Heights, Md. striker becomes fifth Homegrown player to join the Black-and-Red.

2013 Schedule Announcement - The MLS regular season schedule is finalized.

United signs Rafael, a young Brazilian DP - Young goal-scorer joins the Black-and-Red from Bahia in the Brazilian Serie A.

Robbie Russell re-signs with D.C. United - The veteran defender to remain with club in 2013.
