March to March 9: Politics isn't the only sport in town

As we sit 43 days out from D.C. United's 2013 home opener, Events DC highlights the team's 2012 accomplishments in an outdoor advertising campaign. The ads, which feature D.C. United, the Washington Nationals, and the Washington Kastles will begin to pop up on Metrobuses around Washington, DC.

The campaign tagline reads, Politics isn't the only sport in town, and features United midfielder Chris Pontius. Erik A. Moses, managing director of Events DC’s Sports and Entertainment Division explains that “The city is certainly known for politics and government, but our sports teams have garnered a fair share of the national spotlight over the last year. We wanted to celebrate the successes in a light-hearted way.”
