D.C. United midfielder Danny Cruz and defender Robbie Russell will join United staff volunteers for a United Builds event on March 7, 2012 at DC Central Kitchen. Held at the Kitchen’s Nutrition Lab, the volunteers will assist in preparing locally sourced fruits, vegetables as healthy food options for one of the organizations newest programs: DC Central Kitchen’s Family Shelter meals & School Meals program. DC Central Kitchen produces thousands of meals a day to encompass a wide variety of DC residents in need. More information may be found at dccentralkitchen.org
