Competition is heating up as the varsity girls of the Dulles District are merely 2 ½ weeks away from the District Quarter-Finals. After Briar Woods' win last week against 3-year State Champs, Broad Run, the district is buzzing with opportunity from all teams.

Although heavy rain came to the area late last night, all four league games were played. Freedom has stayed at the top of the ranks for weeks now, with 30 points. Although Broad Run has only lost one game, they haven’t played as many games as Freedom. Briar Woods is a close third, with 21 points. Loudoun County, Woodgrove and Potomac Falls continue to only be points from each other. Dominion, Park View and Tuscarora still have a chance to climb the ranks.

The Dulles girls varsity teams are in the middle of their seventh week of league games. All teams have dealt with several game cancellations thus far, which make for a more packed game schedule in May. With nine teams in the district, every team will play each opponent twice - making every game count. Stay tuned as each game will cause teams to climb the ranks or fall behind in simply a day.
