D.C. United's Andy Najar told FutbolMLS.com's podcast Tiro Libre last week that he has made up his mind as to whether he’ll don the white and blue of Honduras or the red, white and blue of the United States. But maybe he's a little curious about the court of public opinion.

On Monday, the 17-year-old took to the Twitter-waves and held a poll, asking his followers who they thought he should play for.

“What do everyone think….USA or Honduras??” asked Najar (@andynajar14) on his official Twitter page.

The youngster’s query emerged during a Q&A he started with his fans to pass the time as he and D.C. United are concentrated in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., for preseason training camp.

After answering questions such as which soccer team – besides D.C. United – was his favorite (Real Madrid), why he wears No. 14 on his jersey (because of his favorite DCU player and current coach Ben Olsen), fans asked him the inevitable question: Which national team will he represent?

“Hey, Andy, by when will us Hondurans know your decision as to which national team you’ll play for?” asked José Jorge Villeda (@jj_villeda), a commentator on Staff Deportivo, a national TV and radio show in Honduras.

“Will you play with the ‘H’?” added @Fermango79.

“I don’t know yet......have patience!” replied Najar. “I’m concentrating on the preseason with dc united.”

Najar told Tiro Libre last week that he’s not ready to reveal his decision quite yet.

By the end of his impromptu poll, Najar said it was a tie. “Honduras 1,700,999 usa 1,700,999 Mars 1,” he wrote.

In a poll last week held on FutbolMLS.com, 51 percent of the people believed Najar should represent La Bicolor, while 49 percent voted for the Stars and Stripes.

Will the audience on MLSsoccer.com opine the same? Vote now and let us know who you think Najar should represent.
