D.C United's fourth day of its "10 Days of Giving" was easy as pie. Staff from the Black-and-Red headed out to Eastern Market & Penn Quarter to distribute and sell Thanksgiving pies as part of Food & Friends' Slice of Life fundraiser.
Food & Friends offered holiday shoppers an assortment of pies for their Thanksgiving meal. All proceeds from the Slice of Life fundraiser provide life-sustaining meals for disadvantaged children and adults living with HIV/AIDS, cancer, and other life-challenging illnesses. Pie sales are closed, but you can still make a tax-deductible donation in support of the program.
D.C. United will spend Wednesday, November 24 volunteering the 11th Annual Safeway's Feast of Sharing at the Washington Convention center.
