The U.S. Men's National Team squeaked out a 2-1 win over El Salvador in Tampa, FL last night as Chivas USA's Sacha Kljestan scored the game-winner in extra time. D.C. United's two U.S. camp participants, goalkeeper Troy Perkins and M/F Chris Pontius, did not see the field in the win, as Perkins was on the bench backing up Nick Rimando and Pontius traveled, but did not make the gameday roster.

Several United players and coaches made the hour drive from Bradenton to Tampa to take in the game, including Salvadoran Christian Castillo, who had to watch his countrymen give up a 1-0 lead.

Pontius and Perkins are expected to join their United teammates this weekend when the team returns to DC, following nearly three weeks in Bradenton.
