With its only pick of the 2010 MLS SuperDraft, D.C. United selected a player it is very, very familiar with - University of North Carolina defender Jordan Graye. The 6-foot, 2-inch defender played in the D.C. United Academy system at four levels - with the U-14, U-15, U-16 and U-20 team, winning a national title with the U-14 team in 2001. A DC native, Jordan played for Reston Football Club and at DeMatha High School in Hyattsville, MD.

The photo above is from the U-20 team's Super Y-League's second round game in the national championships back in August of 2007.

Welcome to United, Jordan.

We'll have more from Head Coach Curt Onalfo on the team's selection soon.

UPDATE (7:22 p.m. ET): Here's the official press release on Graye.
