United Builds opportunities

As a signature community relations initiative, United Builds was created as a vehicle to encourage participation by D.C. United players, front office employees and fans in worthy volunteer projects throughout the region. Each year, the Corporation for National and Community Service honors Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s legacy by asking Americans to make the King Holiday a national day of service.  With these ideals in mind, D.C. United has organized several opportunities for United supporters to gather and serve on Monday, January 18.

Though volunteer slots are already filled for United efforts at Bruce Monroe Elementary School in the District, two opportunities remain.  Details and registration information are below.

In Alexandria, VA from 8:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., United will assist with a school beautification project at T.C. Williams High School.  Note:  Though the information states the opportunity is 'a special opportunity for federal government employees,' many openings remain and the event is open to the public.

United will also be working at Powell Elementary in the Upshur neighborhood of NW DC from 9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Sign up, wear the colors and make a difference... United!
