The We Win Trophies Tour continues tonight at The Pug, located at 1234 H. St. NE. I'll be there with some other D.C. United staffers from 7-9 p.m. with the 2008 U.S. Open Cup trophy - and we'll even let you take your photo with it! We'll also be giving away some United gear and you can enter our sweet giveaway (the winner gets four sideline fantasy seats to the Sept. 2 final and four all-you-can-grab shopping sprees through the team store).
The Pug is owned by United season ticket holder Tony Tomeldon (shown in the photo on the right - we'll forgive him for not wearing a DCU hat). He's been a season ticket holder since '96 and runs a great bar. If you haven't been there before, tonight is a great time to come by. The Pug paninis are delicious - and so are the cheeseballs!
We'll also have a special guest tonight - former United player Shawn Kuykendall. Shawn was a member of United's squad in 2005 and helped lead the Reserve Team to the inaugural championship that season. He was the only United player to play every minute of the Reserve Division in 2005. If you come out, you'll have to ask him for the story of playing Chelsea that summer and why he really, really lucked out.
