Washington, D.C. (June 11, 2009) - D.C. United today announced individual tickets to the match against Spanish superpower Real Madrid C.F. will go on sale tomorrow at 10 a.m. ET. The match will be played at FedExField on August 9 at 3 p.m. ET and will feature recently announced acquisitions Cristiano Ronaldo and Kaka, the 2008 FIFA World Player of the Year and 2007 FIFA World Player of the Year, respectively. The club also boasts a roster including international superstars the likes of Raul, Iker Casillas, Sergio Ramos, Fernando Gago and Gonzalo Higuain.
Single game tickets will go on sale to the general public through Ticketmaster, with seats in the lower bowl ranging from $60 for the endline, $75 for sideline and $90 for midfield seats. United planholders can still purchase lower bowl or club-level tickets to this friendly at a reduced price. Single game tickets to all other United home dates are currently available via all TicketMaster outlets.
Those wishing to purchase tickets in advance of public sale may do so through several options at www.dcunited.com /www.dcunited.com>. The International Stars 4-game plan features two options of four total games. Option A will include the Real Madrid match on 8/9, the game vs. the LA Galaxy on 8/22, the game vs. Seattle Sounders FC on 9/12 and the game vs. the San Jose Earthquakes on 9/27. Option B includes the Real Madrid match plus the game vs. the Colorado Rapids (a doubleheader with the Washington Freedom) on 7/18, the match vs. LA on 8/22 and the final home game of the regular season on 10/17 vs. the Columbus Crew. Both packages will include all seating levels and prices will range from $113 for Spectator level, $146 for Premium level, $180 for VIP level and $210 for Mezzanine level. Group sales of 15 tickets or more to D.C. United vs. Real Madrid and one other United match are also now available. Finally, fans participating in a New Stadium Survey, posted on the site, are eligible to access a special early purchase form. Special hospitality packages are also currently available.
