Washington, D.C. (June 9, 2009) -D.C. United players will be appearing at various community events this week. Ben Olsen, Devon McTavish, Chris Pontius, Anthony Peters, Brandon Barklage, Josh Wicks, Boyzz Khumalo and John DiRaimondo along with D.C. United staff will visit the Children’s National Medical Center on Thursday as part of the team’s biannual set of trips to the hospital. Patients will have the opportunity to test their soccer skills as well as participate in arts and crafts activities. The players will then visit other patients in their rooms.
