D.C. United vs. Real Madrid ticket packages now on sale

Washington, D.C. (June 3, 2009) - D.C. United announced today special ticket packages for the friendly against Spanish superpower Real Madrid are now available for purchase. The match will be played at FedExField on August 9 at 3 p.m. ET and will feature a team that boasts international superstars such as Raul, Iker Casillas, Sergio Ramos, Fernando Gago and Gonzalo Higuain, and, under the leadership of a new president and manager, has aspirations to sign additional high-profile players in advance of their North American tour.


The International Stars 4-game plan for individuals will feature two options. Option A will include the Real Madrid match on 8/9, the game vs. the LA Galaxy on 8/22, the game vs. Seattle Sounders FC on 9/12 and the game vs. the San Jose Earthquakes on 9/27. Option B includes the Real Madrid match plus the game vs. the Colorado Rapids (a doubleheader with the Washington Freedom) on 7/18, the match vs. LA on 8/22 and the final home game of the regular season on 10/17 vs. the Columbus Crew. Both packages will include all seating levels and prices will range from $113 for Spectator level, $146 for Premium level, $180 for VIP level and $210 for Mezzanine level. A group ticket promotion is also now available by dialing 202-587-5000. Fans buying 20 or more tickets to the Real Madrid match and the same number of tickets to an additional, future D.C. United match will be accommodated.


Single game tickets will go on sale to the general public on June 12 through Ticketmaster, with seats in the lower bowl ranging from $60 for the endline, $75 for sideline and $90 for midfield seats. United planholders can still purchase lower bowl or club-level tickets to this friendly at a reduced price. Special hospitality packages will also be available.
