MLS All-Star Week is upon us and the Black-and-Red will be represented in full force.
In his first 16 matches in Major League Soccer, D.C. United midfielder Taxi Fountas has taken the league by storm, scoring 11 goals and 3 assists.
His historic start has surpassed that of many of the league’s biggest icons, and because of it, he’ll be among the 28 players representing 16 clubs against the All-Stars of Liga MX on Wednesday, August 10 at 8:30 p.m. ET at Allianz Field in Minnesota, live on ESPN and UniMás.

Since its emergence in 2020, MLS NEXT has been a proving ground for young players looking to break into Major League Soccer.
U16 midfielder Ignacio Alem is, without a doubt, one to watch, and he’ll be recognized as such on Wednesday when he competes in the inaugural MLS NEXT All-Star Game presented by Allstate.
Alem and the D.C. United U16 team were crowned MLS NEXT Cup Champions earlier this year, capping off an impressive season under head coach Keyon Khalilian.
Alongside teammate Sydney Aggrey, Alem was the Golden Boot Winner of the tournament with 4 goals and 2 assists. Alem, 16, made his professional debut for USL Championship affiliate Loudoun United on May 19, and has featured for Loud

Special Olympics Unified All-Star Game presented by MLS WORKS, ESPN & Coca-Cola
MLS Works has partnered with ESPN, Special Olympics and Coca-Cola to host the 7th Special Olympics Unified All-Star Game.
The Black-and-Red will be represented by Malcolm Andrews (Athlete) and Jabari Ramirez (Unified Athlete Partner).
