United goalkeeper Bill Hamid has been nominated for MLS Save of the Week for his effort against Shkelzen Gashi in the Black-and-Red's victory over the Colorado Rapids on Saturday, Aug. 19. In the 53rd minute, Hamid dove to his left to deny the Albanian's left-footed shot from just inside the penalty area.
The 26-year-old finished the night with four saves, including other spectacular saves to deny Bismark Boating and Dominique Badji. The nomination is his seventh of the year.
