Academy Affiliate Clubs

Through the Affiliate Program, D.C. United will:

  • Work with Affiliates in identifying the area's top players
  • Send DCU coaches to attend Affiliate team training sessions
  • Invite Affiliate Club players to participate in Academy training sessions
  • Maintain a strong technical and branding relationship with each club and adidas and other DCU sponsors
  • Provide constant communication between technical staff regarding curriculum and training
  • Provide coaching education
  • Provide competitive DCU ticket sales packages
  • Work with Affiliates to hold tryouts

Annandale Boys and Girls Club
Annandale Boys & Girls Club (ABGC) is a nonprofit organization providing recreational and competitive multi-sport activities for youth in the Northern Virginia area. The club’s President and Executive Director, Kip and Greg Germain, respectively, are the sons of club founder Everett G. Germain.

Arlington Soccer Association
The Arlington Soccer Association is a volunteer-based nonprofit soccer organization of over 6,500 players whose mission is to provide quality soccer programs to meet the needs of people of all abilities, backgrounds and financial means, and to advocate for the advancement of soccer in Arlington and surrounding communities. Founded in 1970, ASA offers a wide range of soccer programs year round, including Travel, Developmental, Recreational, TOPSoccer and the Real Madrid Social-Sport Academy Program, a no-cost after school soccer program involving at-risk children.

Beach FC
Beach FC aims to provide every child from ages 3 to 18 the opportunity to play soccer in a supportive, rewarding and safe environment that emphasizes fun, a balance between individual skill development and team building, learning of life skills at a level that fits each player’s interest and ability, and which creates a challenging environment for the teams and players that aspire to reach their full potential.

LESA FC
LESA FC was established in 2013 by former D.C. United and Brazilian soccer player Luciano Emilio and operates out of Silver Spring, Md. Emilio wants to help each individual player discover their potential to grow in every area of their lives through sports.

Maryland United
Today, Freestate Soccer Alliance – based in Bowie, Md – has over 35 boys and girls teams from ages U-9 through U-19 that compete in various leagues such as the Virginia Clubs Champions League (VCCL), Atlantic Soccer League (ASL), Elite Clubs National League (ECNL), and Region 1. Freestate has placed players at top colleges and universities, the Olympic Development Program and D.C. United’s Academy system.

Northern Virginia Soccer Club
NVSC –a four-time State Cup championship club – is a non-profit, volunteer soccer league located in Prince William County, Va. The association has an instructional in-house program and a travel (select) program. NVSC is host to over 42 travel teams, with over 3,000 total recreational and travel players per season. In 2008, Mid-County Soccer Association and Manassas Area Soccer Association merged to create NVSC, creating one of the largest soccer clubs in Virginia, and providing opportunities for players across Prince William County and Northern Virginia.

Stafford Soccer
Stafford Soccer, a nonprofit club of 2,500 members, is primarily focused on player development, offering three levels of play from U-5 to U-19, servicing Stafford County, Va., and the surrounding areas. As a top-notch educational-athletic organization, Stafford Soccer provides a high-quality experience for every athlete. Stafford Soccer is dedicated to providing financial aid and scholarships for players in all of its programs.

Gunston Soccer Club
The Gunston Soccer Club is a non-profit organization whose mission is to foster the physical, mental and emotional growth and development of Northern Virginia youth through the sport of soccer at all levels of age and competition. The primary purpose of the Club and the strategy that drives all activities planned and carried out by the Club is: to promote the growth of soccer at all levels of play, including competitive and recreational levels and to provide training in all areas of the sport, including playing, coaching, and refereeing as well as increasing the general knowledge of the sport by all participants, including parents.

Potomac Soccer Association
The Potomac Soccer Association (PSA) of Montgomery County was founded in 1980 by Bill Wilson of Potomac, Maryland. Formally incorporated as a 501(c)(3) non-profit, charitable organization in 1982, the fundamental mission of PSA has remained the same as it is today: to promote soccer for area youth. Over the past 18 years, PSA has matured from a homespun group of six teams to an all-volunteer, community-based organization sponsoring over 500 youth, ages 10 to 19 years, in the highest competitive level of travel-select soccer.  A majority of PSA teams occupy compete in the highest league division ranking them in the top percentile of select teams in the Washington metropolitan area, Maryland and Virginia.

Ellicott City Soccer Club
The Ellicott City Soccer Club prides itself on being operated by soccer people. After all, one of our core values is that we are soccer people serving soccer families. Our board is made up of advocates for the game of soccer and want your child to have a great experience playing the game, just as they did. The board understands the value of the soccer experience in overall development and will make decisions based on what is best for the whole club, rather than an individual, a team, coach or a certain level of play. 

Loudoun Soccer
Loudoun Soccer, established in 1978, is an independent 501(c)(3) Non-Profit organization that provides recreational and travel soccer programs to the Loudoun County community. Starting as a volunteer organization, Loudoun Soccer has grown to become the largest soccer club in the state of Virginia with over 16,000 players from ages 3 to 18 registered annually with over 30 programs for these players. As the club has grown, it has continued to promote the values of sportsmanship, integrity and safety.

Player Progression Academy
The Player Progression Academy (PPA) was founded in 2011 by three American University Men’s Soccer Alumni: Mike Worden, Jamie Davin and Nikolaj Kapus, who came together to redefine the concept of a youth sports club. The Player Progression Academy aims to create the complete athletic development experience.  By focusing on high quality coaching, employing a comprehensive curriculum, and infusing a value driven philosophy, PPA creates great experiences and advanced development for every player. Players can join the Academy at age 2 and progress through the end of high school.

DeMatha Soccer Academy
The DeMatha Soccer Academy (DMSA) was established in 2014 and is a non-profit soccer club. The DeMatha Soccer Academy's mission is to serve the student-athletes in our community by offering an enriching and inclusive soccer experience founded upon building self-esteem, developing character, enhancing teamwork, promoting healthy lifestyle habits, and fostering a life long love for the game of soccer! Utilizing healthy competition, a focus on continual learning, and a commitment to helping every player reach their potential, we strive to create culture of excellence and develop leaders community, scholars in the classroom, and champions on the field.
