D.C. United today announced that midfielder Kyle Porter has been added to the Canada Men’s National Team’s 2013 CONCACAF Gold Cup roster. Porter replaces an injured Nana Attakora on Canada’s 23-man list, but will not report to training camp unless the coaching staff calls on him. Teammate Chris Pontius was also selected to the U.S.
D.C. United today announced that Homegrown goalkeeper Bill Hamid has been called up to the U.S. Men’s National Team (USMNT). Hamid will report to training camp on May 30 ahead of the team’s friendly against Germany on Sunday, June 2 at RFK Stadium (2:30 p.m. ET). The game is featured as the Centennial Celebration Match as part of U.S. Soccer’s 100-year anniversary celebration.
On Monday, March 18, Jurgen Klinsmann named his 23-man roster for upcoming, all-important, World Cup qualifiers. The full roster, which was complete with a total of nine stars from Major League Soccer is below:

D.C. United today announced that Homegrown goalkeeper Bill Hamid has been called up to the U.S. Men’s National Team for training camp and a Jan. 29 friendly against Canada in Houston, TX at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN2. The match, occurring at the end of the annual January camp, will open the team’s 2013 campaign and is the only game prior to the start of the Hexagonal Round of 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying.
D.C. United U-18 Academy product Suliaman Dainkeh is returning home after being selected for an 11-day European Training Camp with the U-18 Men’s National Team. Throughout the 11-day camp, the squad faced off against some of the best competition in Europe, including top academy teams and the Netherland’s National Team.
D.C. United’s U-16 Academy team built on their opening week victory with a decisive win over Virginia Rush this past weekend at Hampton Roads Soccer Complex in Virginia Beach, Va.
D.C. United came out strong in their second USSDA league match, scoring three unanswered goals in the first 30 minutes against Virginia Rush. United preserved its 3-0 lead throughout the match by holding off several Rush attacks with solid defending and strong goalkeeping.
