D.C. United Academy played MLS rivals Philadelphia Union on Sunday, May 5 at Spingarn High School, going 1-1-1 against the Union in three physical matchups.
Andy Najar has added another first to his trailblazing, storybook career.
Less than 18 months after becoming the first Major League Soccer Homegrown player to be sold overseas for a transfer fee, earlier this week Najar signed a contract extension with RSC Anderlecht that will keep him with the heralded Belgian club through 2018.
Registration for D.C. United Summer Camps is now open! United will be holding eight camps at RFK Stadium and eleven camps at satellite locations across Maryland and Virginia this summer. D.C. United first team players will make special appearances at camps being held at RFK Stadium.
All three D.C. United Academy teams went undefeated over the weekend in their games against Continental FC Delco on Saturday, and PA Classics on Sunday. The three Black-and-Red teams scored 17 goals, while only conceding five. The U-16s are on a six-game league winning streak, and the U-18s are on a six league game undefeated streak.

On Sunday, April 13, the U-14s beat the Virginia Rush 3-0. SahrFelix Sandy (Woodbridge, Va.; Prince William Soccer Inc.) put United on the score sheet in the 40th minute to give them the 1-0 lead going into halftime. Andres Villanueva (Woodbridge, Va.; Prince William Soccer Inc.) and Alexis Cerritos (Beltsville, Md.; Cerritos Academy) both added goals in the second half for the 3-0 win. Goalkeeper Kyle Frye kept a clean sheet for the U-14s.
