Registration for D.C. United’s 2013 Spring Break Camps are now open
D.C. United today announced that registration for the Academy’s annual Spring Break Camps are now open. The camp schedule comprises back-to-back camps at the D.C. United Training Complex at RFK, including the popular Striker/Goalkeeper camp, as well as the annual Spring Break camp in Fairfax, Va., in partnership with Burke Athletic Club.

As the spring portion of the U.S. Soccer Development Academy (USSDA) league approaches, D.C. United’s Academy teams will log some time on the field this week in a few friendlies. Meanwhile, the Pre-Academy squads are set to participate in the 2013 Potomac President’s Day Pre-Academy Showcase this weekend.
14 Academy players announce intentions to play at 10 Division I programs
The D.C. United Academy today announced that 14 of its U-18 players have committed to play soccer at 10 different universities for the 2013 fall season. Six of the 14 players signed with programs finishing the 2012 season ranked in the top 25, including the University of Maryland, Coastal Carolina University and Wake Forest University.

D.C. United, Richmond Kickers announce landmark affiliation
In conjunction with the groundbreaking multi-year deal unveiled on Wednesday between MLS and USL PRO, D.C. United today announced that the club has entered into an affiliate agreement with USL PRO side the Richmond Kickers.
2013 D.C. United Training Program open for registration
With the new year just underway, the 2013 D.C. United Training Program – led by Pre-Academy and Academy coaching staff – is open for registration and the winter session is just around the corner, starting on Sunday, February 3. The Training Program, which is available to the U9-U11 and U12-U13 age groups, presents a key opportunity for participants to be identified and scouted for United’s Pre-Academy squads and the recently introduced U-14 Academy Team.

Combine underway, SuperDraft around the corner
The first round of games for the 2013 MLS Combine kicked off today at Central Broward Regional Park in Lauderhill, Florida. 54 bright, young stars will take the field in hopes of impressing coaches and technical staff from around the league. MLSsoccer.com will have complete coverage from Ft. Lauderdale. After the combine it is on to the SuperDraft, this year being held in Indianapolis, Indiana.

D.C. United, Annandale Boys & Girls Club and adidas reach affiliate agreement
D.C. United and the Annandale Boys & Girls Club (ABGC) – in conjunction with adidas – today announced an affiliate agreement, the first of its kind between D.C. United and a club in the State of Virginia. Under the agreement, ABGC will be one of D.C. United’s primary sources in identifying and developing the top youth talent in Virginia. United will share its coaching resources and will work with ABGC to follow its training curriculum and system of play. Top players in the ABGC system, identified by both D.C. United and ABGC, will have the opportunity to join the D.C.

D.C. United and Freestate Soccer Alliance – in conjunction with adidas – today announced a historic affiliate agreement, the first of its kind for both clubs.
