D.C. United have announced the year-end roster moves for the upcoming 2017 season.

D.C. United did not exercise the 2017 options for Chris Korb, Andrew Dykstra and Álvaro Saborío, while defender Luke Mishu retired. Korb, Dykstra and Saborío are eligible for the Re-Entry Draft that begins on December 16. “We would like to thank Chris, Andrew, Álvaro and Luke for their service to the club,” Kasper said. “We wish them all the best in their future endeavors."

Korb, 29, made 105 appearances for the Black-and-Red since being selected in the second round of the 2011 MLS SuperDraft out of the University of Akron.  He made his debut for the club on March 26 against the New England Revolution, starting and playing 90 minutes. The right back, who recorded 10 assists in five seasons, did not feature in 2016 after suffering an ACL injury in 2015.

Dykstra, 30, made 31 appearances for United over five seasons, recording two shutouts.  His lone appearance in 2016 came in the first match of the season against the LA Galaxy, after which he suffered a back injury and did not make another appearance.

D.C. United acquired Alvaro Saborio, 34, on July 16, 2015, from Real Salt Lake. The Costa Rican forward made his Black-and-Red debut and scored his first goal for the club in the 3-2 win against Philadelphia on July 26, 2015. Saborio scored 10 goals and recorded three assists over two seasons for D.C. United. The forward is the 19th all-time scorer in MLS.

Mishu, 25, made nine appearances for the Black-and-Red after signing as an undrafted free agent on March 6, 2015.  The defender made his MLS debut on May 27, 2015 against the Portland Timbers, starting and playing 72 minutes.
