Bill Hamid has been nominated for the 2016 MLS Save of the Year twice following yet another impressive season.  The 25-year-old's save against Houston in Week 15 and another against New York in Week 27 both earned him nominations for the yearly honor.

Hamid finished 2016 with 20 starts after an injury in January hindered his start to the season.  He recorded 68 saves, kept five shutouts and was sixth in the league in goals against average among goalkeepers with at least 20 starts (1.25). He was nominated for Phillips 66 Save of the Week 12 times, winning once, and was named to the MLS Team of the Week five times.
