Bill Hamid has won Phillips 66 Save of the Week, awarded to the best save by an MLS goalkeeper over the past week, for his stop against the Portland Timbers on Saturday, August 13. D.C. United's first Homegrown Player came off his line to deflect a Jack McIrnerney driven shot off the crossbar.
The save preserved Hamid's fourth shutout of the season and 42nd of his career. Hamid also made his 150th appearance for the Black-and-Red (all starts) in United's 2-0 victory over Portland.
