Since 2010, Olsen has led the Black-and-Red to several exciting victories on home turf in front of the D.C. In heavy rain, D.C. United forward Chris Pontius scored his first professional hat trick in an exciting 4-1 victory over the New York Red Bulls. After a five-year MLS Cup Playoff drought, D.C. United clinched a playoff spot and eliminated Columbus from playoff contention with a 3-2 victory over the Crew in the final home game of the season on Fan Appreciation Night. Lewis Neal scored a breakaway goal in stoppage time to snag the three points and a playoff spot for the Black-and-Red, under the control of Olsen. After conceding two early goals to Real Salt Lake, Chris Rolfe led a comeback for the Black-and-Red in what would go on to be a wild 6-4 victory over the Utah-based side on a humid night at RFK Stadium. Defender Taylor Kemp scored one of the most incredible goals of 2015 after ripping a ball into the back of the net from almost 25 yards out. The sixth and final goal of the game was a rocket from Nick DeLeon, who sent the ball soaring into the back of the net from nearly 30 yards away. The game was full of highlight reel goals and was one of the most exciting victories led by Ben Olsen.

Whether in heavy rain, extreme humidity or snow, Ben Olsen has led D.C. United to important, exhilarating victories over the last seven seasons. Olsen and the Black-and-Red made his 100th home game an exciting one and sealed a much needed victory against the Revolution; the same team that Olsen scored his final professional goal against, in stoppage time, in a 1-1 draw in 2009.
