Volunteer on Friday April 22 (Earth Day)  and help kids in D.C. THRIVE!
Did you know that learning gardens have been proven to help increase student activity rates, nutrition education, AND test scores?  D.C. United is partnering with REAL School Gardens to build a learning garden this Earth Day – April 22 – at a low-income school in Washington D.C. and we need your help!

REAL School Gardens will lead volunteers at a one-day event to build an outdoor classroom at Ketcham Elementary in Anacostia.

Event Details
Date: Friday, April 22 – EARTH DAY!
Time: 8:30AM- 2:30PM
Location: Ketcham Elementary
1919 15th Street SE
Washington DC 20020

Volunteers will get to work side by side with parents and meet the children that will benefit from the new outdoor classroom. No gardening experience is necessary.  REAL School Garden’s expert project leaders will match your skills with the perfect job, and in just one day, you’ll help transform an empty space into a beautiful place for local children to learn and THRIVE!

Space is limited, so don’t wait to register - sign up below by Thursday, April 21. A tee shirt, lunch and morning refreshments will be provided. Once you register, you will receive further details about the project.
