Overall thoughts on the game…
We are a work in progress, but there’s a lot of good going on with this group. The spirit’s right and we’ll respond in the right way. We’ll take the good and fix some of the bad and move forward. This is never an easy place to play, but we’ll lick our wounds and get back out there next week.

On scoring quickly in the first half…
We started the game strong and there’s a lot to take away from this game with our group. It’s disappointing, and it hurts to give up 4 goals, but there’s a lot of promise. I’m pleased with the movement, especially with all of these new guys.

On the difference between the first and second halves…
Patrick was a last minute scratch before the second half because of mild concussion symptoms. We had to make a quick change and were in a little bit of disarray. They came out with a lot of energy, which is expected after being down in the first half at home.

They made an adjustment and put Mike Magee into the game. They started to go more direct and unfortunately they got two set piece goals. Defending on set pieces is something we pride ourselves on and it’s always going to be tough to come back from giving up two set piece goals on the road.

On the energy and flow of the game in first half...
Obviously this first half was a lot better for us. We came out, got right on top of them. We were selective in our pressing and it ended up getting us a goal. They had a little bit of run of the play, possession wise, but i think we were smart. We knew coming into LA they were going to come at us and we were able to hit them early. The first half went as planned.

On United debut...
It feels good to finally get in a game. I wasn’t able to play in CONCACAF, so to finally get on the field and then score early was good. Obviously, I would’ve liked the final result to be a little bit better for my debut, but definitely some good stuff. We can take a lot of positives from it, we just have to get better. Like Benny said, we have a lot of new pieces, a lot of moving pieces, but it will get better in time.
