Bill Hamid Nominated for MLS Save of the Week (Week 15)

D.C. United goalkeeper Bill Hamid has been nominated for Major League Soccer Save of the Week for Week 15.

The 24-year-old 'keeper saved a penalty kick from Ricardo Kaká in the 30th minute on Sunday night, although it was not enough, as Kaká headed in the rebound and Orlando City won 1-0. 


Hamid dove to his right and blocked Kaká's shot, but the ensuing rebound bounced kindly to the Orlando playmaker, who headed home his seventh goal of the season.  


Also nominated for MLS Save of the Week are Jon Busch (Chicago), Stefan Frei (Seattle), Jaime Penedo (Los Angeles) and Bobby Shuttleworth (New England).
Voters have until 11:59 p.m. PT on Thursday to cast their vote.
