It was another come-from-behind effort for United when Luis Silva stole the show, earning his first hat trick of his MLS career. Faibán Espíndola registered three assists this game, including two of Silva’s tallies and Nick DeLeon's equalizer. After Silva scored in the sixth minute, Jack McInerney and Andrés Romero put the Impact ahead 2-1 just 21 minutes into the first half. DeLeon equalized two minutes later, followed by Silva’s game winner from distance. Silva then netted a penalty kick in the 45th minute and sealed the deal on his hat trick and United’s three points.

Coming back from the two-week break, United out-shot and out-possessed the Sounders by large margins, but couldn’t find the back of the net. Seattle forward Chad Barrett hit the game-winner in the 39th minute and United failed to come back. Despite this loss, the Black-and-Red would head into July and go undefeated through the month.
