To celebrate the upcoming holiday season, D.C. United teamed up with Sasha Bruce Youthwork and Shoppers to distribute Thanksgiving meal supplies to local families in Southwest DC. First Team players Sean Franklin, Luis Silva , Conor Doyleand Andrew Dykstra, members of the D.C. United Front Office including Managing General Partner Jason Levien, alongside team members from Sasha Bruce Youthwork distributed everything from cranberry sauce to turkeys.

"Although our season recently ended, it is very important for us to continue to serve the community, especially around the holidays," said D.C. United's Director of Community Relations, Victor Melara.  "It is a pleasure to work with Shoppers and Sasha Bruce Youthwork to provide families with a Thanksgiving meal. This is one of many initiatives we will participate in throughout the holiday season, and we are proud to give back as an organization."

Volunteers arrived at the Randall Recreation Center Thursday afternoon to serve over 140 families who live in Wards 5, 6, 7 & 8. Meals were distributed by DCU players and staff as music provided by WPGC, played throughout the center. Talon was also on hand to take pictures with the families. From all of us here at D.C. United to all of you, Happy Thanksgiving.
