A veteran core with playoff experience

Fabian Espindola goal celebration with taylor kemp, chris rolfe and davy arnaud in kansas city

Immediately following D.C. United’s 2-0 loss at Red Bull Arena on Sunday, the disappointment was palpable. Once the Black-and-Red was back in the visiting team locker room, though, the mood shifted. Of course, the disappointment was still there, but it just takes one look around the locker room to realize what captain Bobby Boswell said post-match is true:  “It’s not the greatest spot to be in, but it’s not over. Other teams have done it before and we can do it. This is a group that can.”
