D.C. United and Lucky Bar to host viewing party for Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup final

Washington, D.C. (September 25, 2013) – D.C. United – in conjunction with Lucky Bar – today announced plans for a viewing party on Tuesday, Oct. 1 as the Black-and-Red takes on Real Salt Lake in the 2013 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup final. Taking place at Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy, UT, the championship match will air live at 9 p.m. ET on GolTV. Lucky Bar, a United bar partner, will play host to the viewing party, which kicks off at 8 p.m. D.C. United representatives will be on-site with the 1996 and 2008 Open Cup trophies, and prizes will be given away, including an autographed United jersey signed by the entire 2013 team.


“More than 100 fans packed Lucky Bar for the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup semifinal game against Chicago, and we look to keep the good luck and good times rolling as D.C. United aims to capture a thirteenth trophy,” said D.C. United Marketing Manager Andrew Minucci. “We sincerely thank all our valued bar partners for their commitment in showing D.C. United games on television all season long.”
