After three full days off, the Black-and-Red returned to training ready to resume MLS play. Taking time to rest their undoubtedly heavy legs, the players worked hard today in this incredible July heat, knowing that a tough test lies ahead of them this Saturday at Toyota Park.

After being sidelined with an injured ankle for D.C. United’s West Coast swing, Nick DeLeon enjoyed a full training session today. With the talented midfielder out, Sainey Nyassi stepped into the role at outside midfield. With DeLeon on his way to recovery and three new additions to the Black-and-Red since their match at Colorado, it is still unknown how Head Coach Ben Olsen plans to organize the lineup for this weekends match.
Kyle Porter returns from Gold Cup action
Canadian midfielder Kyle Porter has returned from National Team duty. The dynamic 23-year-old was on the West Coast with his country’s squad competing in the 2013 Gold Cup. Since Canada failed to advance, Porter has returned to D.C. and is set to rejoin United in training.
