The MLS All-Star Game on 8/2/03 saw the MLS All-Stars take on Chivas de Guadalajara at The Home Depot Center in Carson, California. The MLS All-Stars were victorious 3-1; with then- LA Galaxy forward Carlos Ruiz netting the game-winning goal and being named the All-Star MVP.


CD Guadalajara at RFK
Since the sides first met on 8/24/97 – the third place match of the 1997 CONCACAF Champions Cup – D.C. United has achieved a 1-2-1 record against Chivas de Guadalajara when playing at RFK Stadium.


First Victory over CD Guadalajara
D.C. United earned its first-ever win over Chivas de Guadalajara on 9/26/2007 in the first leg of the Copa Sudamericana round of 16. United took the lead when then- midfielder and current Head Coach Ben Olsen tallied in the 23rd minute. The Black-and-Red then doubled its advantage in the 55th minute thanks to a Clyde Simms finish. Chivas pulled one goal back after 61 minutes through Sergio Santana.
