Enjoying their first training session on the East Coast in over a week, D.C. United worked hard on this humid July morning. The Black-and-Red came back from the West Coast with 1 point, and are looking to improve during their regular season bye week. Ahead of the international friendly against Chivas de Guadalajara, here are this week’s training notes.
Silva, Martin, Jeffrey and Seaton available for Friday
DCU’s newest three signings Luis Silva, Jared Jeffrey and Collin Martin, as well as D.C. United’s Michael Seaton will be available for selection for Friday’s friendly against Chivas de Guadalajara. Seaton is impressing with the Richmond Kickers, scoring four goals thus far for the USL PRO side and has been in United’s 18-man roster once this season.
Silva, Martin and Jeffery took to the pitch today for their first official training session as D.C. United First Team members. After training, the three talented, young players answered multiple questions from members of the media who were excited to hear their stories. DeLeon and De Rosario on the mend
D.C. United midfielder Nick DeLeon worked out on the sidelines with an athletic trainer today. During DCU’s training session, DeLeon worked on agility, passing and fitness. Jogging the sidelines and sprinting the endlines of the field, DeLeon looked in form and on his way to recovery. Meanwhile, Dwayne De Rosario got in a good workout on the stationary bike and observed the training session.
